Its Friday the 13th and we have some news. While the horror world awaits for a new Jason film that shows no sign in coming, thanks to “that” court case. Fans have been settling with many fan made films starring our Jason and there is one in particular that caused a massive stir!

The Never Hike Alone short film has become one of the most acclaimed fan made films in recent times. Its a fantastic addition to Jason lore with many putting it as canon to the Friday series.

Now, director Vincente DiSanti and the guys at Womp Stomp Films are planning something big!

This is the news release that was released today:

Beginning in the early Winter of 2020, Womp Stomp Films will release four additional entries into the Never Hike Alone Web Series, kicking things off with a winter-set prequel. Never Hike in the Snow is set 3 months prior to the events of Never Hike Alone and follows the strange disappearance of Mark Hill, a Crystal Lake local who went for a hike one day in the dead of winter and never came home. DiSanti explains, “We thought it would be fun to kick things off by answering Friday the 13th fans call to see a Jason story set in the snow.”

In the months following Never Hike In The Snow, production will begin on three additional entries: Never Hike Alone II: Never Hike AgainNever Hike Alone III: Jason Takes Crystal Lake, and Never Hike Alone IV: The Final Hike. Each entry will continue where the previous left off and feature a slew of horrifying kills at the hands of Jason Voorhees. “Rather than attempting to fund and produce an entire feature, we decided to break the acts into episodes that will range from 20-30 minutes, each featuring its own crowdfunding campaign and self-contained budget.”

Andrew Leighty is set to return as adventure vlogger Kyle McLeod and will be joined by a talented cast of Friday the 13th alumni including Thom Mathews (Tommy Jarvis, Friday the 13th Part 6), Vinny Guastaferro (Sheriff Rick Cologne, Friday the 13th Part 6), and Douglas Tait (Jason Voorhees, Freddy vs. Jason), who will each play a critical role in the saga.

The Never Hike Alone saga is a non-profit Friday the 13th fan project created by Vincente DiSanti and Womp Stomp Films. They are in no way affiliated with Paramount Pictures, New Lines Cinemas, Warner Bros. Entertainment, or any other Friday the 13th franchise rights holders. Additional funding raised by the production will be donated to the Penny Pines Reforestation Project and the JD Martz Recovery Fund.
