With Designated Survivor not exactly surviving a new season, any chance of Kiefer Sutherland returning to the role of Jack Bauer in 24 has been dashed with news that the acclaimed actor has signed up for a Fugitive Re-boot!

With the 1993 movie starring Harrison Ford itself based on a classic TV Show, Kiefer will take over from Tommy Lee Jones in a role of a cop trying to catch a criminal – who may be innocent of the crime…..if course he is.

Sutherland will play Detective” Clay Bryce, who will be out to apprehend Boyd Holbrook’s Mike Ferro.

This is the the synopsis:

When a bomb rips through the Los Angeles subway train he’s riding on, blue-collar Mike Ferro (Holbrook) just wants to make sure his wife, Allison, and 10-year-old daughter, Pearl, are safe. But the faulty evidence on the ground and “tweet-now, confirm-later” journalism paint a nightmarish picture: it looks to all the world that Mike was responsible for the heinous act. Wrongfully—and very publicly—accused, Mike must prove his innocence by uncovering the real perpetrator, before the legendary cop (Sutherland) heading the investigation can apprehend him.”

The show will air on a new streaming service called Quibi and bizarrely each episode will only be 10 minutes long or less???
