While 2020 will see most of the big films pushed back a few months, with some not even being released until next year, the sequel to the 2018 re-booted Halloween is still on track for an October release.
Having become a box office smash and winning critical acclaim, Halloween 2018 did get a mixed response from die hard fans, with many split in opinion of the brave choices it made in its story-telling.
Most notably, the change of Laurie Strode now being alive and no longer the sister of Michael was a controversial one, but it did set the franchise onto a somewhat new path even though in the upcoming sequel we will see Laurie once more face the ultimate Bogeyman.
The sequel recently had a private screening with just 200 people and the feedback was thankfully well appreciated. Now Co writer Scott Teems has made some comments that will make you excited!
“I really can’t say anything about it, but I am really excited about it. I saw a rough cut of it a few weeks ago, and I’m a little biased, but my gut says that people that like the last one will be very excited about this one. It’s like the first one on steroids, I guess. It really is the bigger, badder, meaner version of the first one.”
We can all hope right?
Halloween Kills is out on October 16th and is directed by David Gordan Green.
