Some perfect news to land on 4th of May, which of course is Star Wars Day!

Its been confirmed that Oscar Winning film maker Taika Waititi will direct the next Star Wars, which is a massive coup for Lucasfilm!  Waititi will write the script for the unnamed film alongside Krysty Wilson-Cairns who was nominated for an Oscar for her work on 1917.  

Waititi who himself won an Academy Award earlier this year for World War Two film Jojo Rabbit and has already been part of the Star Wars universe as he recently directed the season finale of Disney+ hit The Mandalorian.  

This is very exciting news after the critical and fan complaints of the recently finished new trilogy of the Skywalker saga and if this guy can bring the same style and humour to which served Thor’s Ragnarok so well….then this is a much anticipated move for the much loved saga.
