Well you have asked and you have it!

Much like the Richard Donner version of Superman II that laid in a vault for years until it was finally released, the much talked about version of Zack Snyder’s Justice League is finally getting a release!

As fans know, Snyder was replaced during the making of Justice League by Joss Wheldon due to a personal tragedy and fans for years over on Social Media have wanted his vision to be seen, as Wheldon himself changed a lot of things from the original storyline.

Many thought that the Snyder version was the stuff of legend, but today its all been proved to be true and the film will hit HBO Max sometime next year.

Here is the full press release:

fter global passionate fan calls to action and the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement, HBO MAX and Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that it will exclusively world premiere Zack Snyder’s director’s cut of the Warner Bros. Pictures/DC feature film Justice League in 2021. Snyder surprised fans with the news this morning during a live online commentary of his film Man of Steel with Henry Cavill.

#ReleaseTheSnyderCut first became a passionate rallying social media cry among fans in 2017 and has not let up. From countless press articles and hundreds of thousands of social media mentions, it became a powerful global movement among cinephiles and comic book fans.

Snyder himself had this to say:

I want to thank HBO Max and Warner Brothers for this brave gesture of supporting artists and allowing their true visions to be realized. Also a special thank you to all of those involved in the SnyderCut movement for making this a reality,”

This is HUGE news in the comic book genre and we all now await wondering if Zack did deliver in what many believe is a much darker tale to a Justice League story!

More as we get it!
