It finally seems that Universal’s attempt of a new generation of Monster movies is finally starting to flow.

After the huge success of Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man, with the same director now moving on with Ryan Gosling to bring a new Wolfman tale and with Dracula also set to rise from his coffin once more, it’s been announced that we are getting yet another monster movie.

Josh Cooley, who directed TOY STORY 4, has been hired to write and direct LITTLE MONSTERS, which will be a live-action/hybrid monster feature.

What is being described as “a love letter to classic Hollywood and the history of filmmaking with a story that takes a multigenerational approach to the monsters.”

Make that what you will but it does sound intriguing and it’s set to be more in line of family friendly film, which may feature the familar Universal foes.

Could this be the new Monster Squad?

Here’s hoping….
