Only some brief news this, but horror icon Bruce Campbell who played Ash in the franchise, but will not appear in the new film, has dropped some news on what to expect when the deadites return.

“The Evil Dead are going to fuck up a city this time,” Campbell said during an event at PA’s Mahoning Drive-In Theater over the weekend which adds to the rumours that the franchise is moving away from that cabin in the woods.

The sequel which will be called Evil Dead Rise with see THE HOLE IN THE GROUND’s Lee Cronin at the helm.
