Coming out of nowhere is this bit of news that Deadline and Bloody Disgusting are reporting.

The cult 80’s slasher film Sorority House Massacre is to become a TV series from Shout! Studios and Robert Schwartzman’s Utopia Originals and Norman Reedus, best known for playing Daryl in AMC Hit The Walking Dead is set to produce.

The original which actually spawned two sequels was centred on a college student Beth and her sorority sisters who were stalked by an escaped psychopathic killer who shared a strange telepathic link with her.

It became such a cult favourite in the decade that it managed to spawn two sequels.

Reedus had this to say about his involvement:

I could not be more excited to collaborate with Robert and his incredible team at Utopia on this project, their taste and creative vision are inspiring, and exactly in line with the kind of content that bigbaldhead set out to develop. We are thrilled to revisit this cult classic and create something truly unique.”

This actually could become a real exciting treat to look forward too. More as we get it!
