The sad passing of Sean Connery has made many fans re-watch his iconic role of James Bond, his ice cool 007 setting a blueprint that many actors have followed and hoped to match.
For our classic scene entry, we have decided to go against the obvious choices of his Bond films and instead head off to 1930 America in which Connery played Jimmy Malone who teamed up with Kevin Costner’s Elliot Ness to bring down the one and only Al Capone in Brian De Palma’s action masterpiece The Untouchables
It was a performance that got Connery a well deserved Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and in our chosen entry, we have put in this memorable moment in which Malone tells Ness exactly what they need to do to get the criminal kingpin!

MALONE: You said that you wanted to know how to get Capone. Do you really want to get him? You see what I’m saying? What are you prepared to do?
NESS: Everything within the law.
MALONE: And then what are you prepared to do? If you open the ball on these people, Mr. Ness, you must be prepared to go all the way, because they won’t give up the fight until one of you is dead.
NESS: I want to get Capone. I don’t know how to get him.
MALONE: You want to get Capone? I’ll tell you what to do. He pulls a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of your people to the hospital, you send one his to the morgue. That’s your tackle. That’s how you get Capone. Now do you want that, are you ready to do that? I’m making you a deal. Do you want this deal?
NESS: I have sworn to put this man away with any and all legal means at my disposal, and I will do so.
