Even though it only ended a mere six years ago, It’s being reported tonight that the Sexy Vampire favourite TV hit, True Blood is heading back to our small screens, but with a catch.

Unlike DEXTER which will carry on from where it’s original series ended, True Blood will be a total new re-boot with Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa believed to be the man to bring this new version to a new generation of fans.

Original creator Alan Ball will line up as an Executive Producer.

The original “True Blood” is based on “The Southern Vampire Mysteries” novel series by Charlaine Harris.

It ran for seven seasons to massive critical acclaim but every fan will admit that after Ball left the show at the end of season five, the show dipped in quailty for its last two seasons, with its finale getting a lukewarm response from its fan base.

The show which had everything from Vampires, Werewolves to Witches was once must see TV and made stars out of the likes of Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgård.

Is six years too early for a remake? Let’s just say, we are curious to see where this is heading.
