Last year we brought you the news that Horror maestro Mike Flanagan is bringing Christopher Pike’s 1994 novel, The Midnight Club to NETLFIX as a new series and now he has announced some big news to its casting.

Flanagan announced on Twitter that everyone’s favourite Elm St heroine Heather Langenkamp is to play a role in the anticipated show, which will delight fans wanting to see her back in the big time.

Here is what he posted on Twitter along with the other casting details.

Anchoring the show as the enigmatic doctor who runs this hospice for young adults, I’m honored to welcome Heather Langenkamp. To horror fans like myself, Heather is royalty, and I am so excited to work with her.”

Portraying the titular club of terminally ill young adults is an amazing group of young actors. The Midnight Club is made up of Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, William Chris Sumpter, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Shephard and Sauriyan Sapkota.

I’m thrilled to welcome back some familiar faces as Zach Gilford, Samantha Sloyan, and Matt Biedel join the cast in supporting roles. (Some other familiar faces from previous Intrepid projects to pop up as guest stars along the way.)”

The story of The Midnight Club is based on a bunch of Terminally ill teenagers at a home who gather together to tell each other scary stories and also make a pact that whoever dies first will contact the others from beyond the grave.

This sounds like a show to really whet our horror appetitie!
