There was something quite old fashioned and enjoyable with Octavia Spencer’s horror/thriller MA which was a decent hit at the box office.

Spencer played Sue Ann, a 90’s throwback psycho character who let a bunch of teens use her basement for parties, until she got rather obsessed by the gang and started to get the murderous urge.

There has been speculation that we may see Sue Ann return in a sequel and while its not been confirmed, director Tate Taylor has discussed with ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY, a possible idea for a sequel.

Here is what he had to say:

I don’t think we thought Ma was going to have this afterlife as this cult thing, and I think it’s worth discussing [a sequel]. I know Octavia would do it, that’s why I purposely left her death ambiguous!

My idea is that she’s moved to another town, and she has open houses in another city and kills people in the open house. I think she’d be a real estate agent in the Pacific Northwest, and just murder white people looking at McMansions. That’s as far as I’ve gotten!

Sounds interesting! Would you like to see Octavia return to a role she carried off really well?
