Well they have remade every thing from Halloween, to Freddy so why not!!
A re-boot of the controversial 80’s Slasher Silent Night Deadly Night – a film that many believe caused the boom of the Slash era to finally end, is on its way.
Orwo Studios and Black Hanger Studios have announced that they are behind the project that will see Billy Chapman – a Jason type Santa Claus, return to the horror genre for some serious Christmas slaying.
The original which to be fair did have the cool poster tag “You’ve made it through Halloween, now try and survive Christmas,” caused a massive outcry on release with parents up in arms about having a serial killer dressed up as a Kids figure.
The film was pulled from cinema’s, even though it was outperforming the original Nightmare on Elm Street film and despite some very, very poor straight to Video sequels, as remained a fond addition to the genre.
No news yet of who is writing the script or a director.
