When the Rocky Spin Off “Creed” was announced, no one expected it to become its own popular franchise and its to the credit of all involved that we now have a worthy successor to what Balboa achieved in his boxing box-office career.
After the Rocky IV inspired, first sequel, CREED III was announced to be happening late last year, with star Michael B Jordan making his directing debut and with both Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad, returning to their roles, but its looking unlikely if Sly Stallone will return to his iconic role, having said goodbye to Rocky in the last instalment.
In a statement here is what Jordan said about the upcoming third film.
“Creed III is that moment – a time in my life where I’ve grown more sure of who I am, holding agency in my own story, maturing personally, growing professionally, and learning from the greats like Ryan Coogler, most recently Denzel Washington, and other top tier directors I respect,” he said. “All of which sets the table for this moment.”
MGM have announced that CREED III will be released on November 23nd 2022.
