After the awful 2013 addition and the 2017 prequel flop, we are once more getting a new attempt at the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, this time coming from Legendary with Fede Alvarez on producing duties.

Its been announced this weekend that the sequel has had a name change with THR reporting that

“Legendary has been taking steps into horror — it has a remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre titled Texas Chainsaw Begins in post.

To the delight of horror fans, the MPAA has granted this movie with an R-rating for “strong bloody horror violence and gore, and language.”

This new version will be set in the modern times and will re-introduce the original character Sally, who will now be played by Olwen Fouéré as the original actress Marilyn Burns sadly passed away in 2014.

Mark Burnham will be playing a much older Leatherface.
