Even though the filming is all done and dusted, we still have to wait until January 14th 2022, until Ghostface returns to the big screen, but there are signs that the build up to what is basically SCREAM 5 has started.

Following David Gordon Green’s Halloween sequel with the film dropping the number 5 and simply just called SCREAM, the new addition which is directed by RADIO SILENCE is already teasing fans with what to expect and now its original star Courtney Cox who has played the character Gale Weathers, throughout the franchise, has dropped a massive hint on will be arriving at the beginning of next year.

Here is what she said when she appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show, another star who of course played a pivotal role in the original 1996 movie.

Scream, this is the fifth one. It’s not Scream 5, though. This is Scream. The directors are incredible, they’re making it absolutely… it’s a new franchise. It’s hip, it’s scary. It’s just a new Scream. It’s not a reboot, it’s not a remake, it’s just a brand new launch. I think it’s going to be fantastic.”

There are already rumours that this addition is dropping the “meta” angle and instead will play as a full blown horror and there are claims that the film will have a few flashbacks, but at the moment, everyone involved is keeping tight lipped and the next clue we have is when a trailer arrives, which should only be a mere few months away.
