To the howls of despair from fans everywhere, FOX have announced that they have cancelled PRODIGAL SON after only two seasons.

The crime drama that starred Michael Sheen and Tom Payne was a critical hit and had gained a cult fanbase, but sadly had one of the lowest ratings of all the current FOX drama’s, hence the reason the studio came to this decision.

The series was created by showrunners Chris Fedak and Sam Sklaver and produced by Warner Bros.-based Greg Berlanti Productions and there is a slight hope that another studio will pick up the reigns.

Fans have took to Twitter to vent their anger at the decision and being a fan myself of the show, it does seem, much like Hannibal, this is a story cut off, way before its prime.
