Its been talked about for many years but its now finally official as its been announced that a new generation of horror fans are going to get their own version of The Lost Boys.

The 1987 film from the late Joel Schumacher is a beloved cult horror classic that is cherished among fans thanks to its iconic style, a cool musical soundtrack and a memorable cast that included the likes of Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric, Corey Feldman and Corey Haim.

While the film spawned two sequels many years later that were instantly forgettable, the original itself is considered a seminal addition to the Vampire genre and while a TV Show was in the works from CW only for it to be suddenly cancelled, it seems that the inevitable remake is now upon us.

Its already been confirmed that Jonathan Entwistle (I am not Okay with this) will direct and the script is being written by Static Shock‘s Randy McKinnon.

A Quiet Place‘s Noah Jupe and IT’s Jaeden Martell are the first casting announcements but expect more in due course.

Die hard fans have our permission to cry little sister in your pillows tonight.
