Coming out of nowhere, Warner Bros have announced that their pushing ahead with a sequel to I Am Legend, a good fifteen years after the original film’s release.

Its been confirmed that Will Smith will return as Dr. Robert Neville and that Michael B. Jordan will join the cast and both have been confirmed to be producing the movie.

Akiva Goldsman, is once more writing the script.

Based on the 1954 book by Richard Matheson, the original had Willis play a US Army virologist who is left alone after a virus wipes out mankind and we watch as he tries to develop a cure.

The 2007 release was a huge box-office smash.
