Well it looks like you can’t keep a good clown down – or an evil one – as reports are surfacing tonight that HBO Max are working on Pennywise TV prequel series.

While not yet “greenlit”, many media outlets are reporting the story with VARIETY themselves stating that the show will begin in the 1960s in the time leading up to the events of It: Part One, the 2017 film that was a huge box office smash, along with its sequel

The story is also said to include the origin story of Pennywise the Clown.

Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti are back on board to produce the series which will be once more based on the popular horror novel by Stephen King.
