After many years of false starts and everyone from Bradley Cooper being linked with the role, it was finally confirmed over night that a remake of The Crow is happening.

Pennywise himself,  Bill Skarsgård will take over the title role played memorably by the late Brandon Lee a “modern reimagining” that will be directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman).

The original was a box office smash and has become a huge cult flick, with of course Lee’s sad and tragic on-set tragedy living long in thr memory.

It spawned three sequels, all with diminishing returns and a short lived TV series.

Based on the comic by creator James O’Barr the plot follows Eric Draven, who returns from the dead to track down his killers and avenge his murdered fiancé with the help of a mystical bird.

Production is planned to start in June.
