It’s been two years since we were told that Kurt Wimmer‘s new vision on the classic Stephen King‘s horror Children of the Corn had been filmed and has some selective showings but since then its all been quiet.

There are rumblings though that the film is now set for a full release later this year and while we haven’t got an exact date, it’s something we will keep an eye out for you.

This will be the first film from the franchise since “Runaway” that was released in 2018 but, this being a reboot is apparently going in a different direction to what we are used too.

Here is the synopsis:

“A psychopathic twelve-year-old girl in a small town in Nebraska recruits all the other children and goes on a bloody rampage, killing the corrupt adults and anyone else who opposes her. A bright high schooler who won’t go along with the plan is the town’s only hope of survival.”
