One of the most underrated horror franchises out there is finally getting its third and most likely final entry as news hits that THE COLLECTED is finally going to be made.

Five years ago, filming halted on set after a few days filming, with horror icon Tom Atkins himself, shooting some scenes (rumoured to be the ending), but everything was ordered to shut down, upsetting fans who couldn’t wait to see what was yet to come from this story that starting off nearly being a SAW prequel, before becoming its own beast in the horror genre.

But now, writer/director Marcus Dunstan and co-writer Patrick Melton have confirmed that all the nonsense stopping this from being made has now been resolved and all systems are go for filming to commence.

When? We are not sure, but we’ll let you know once we have more details. As for casting, will Atkins return? Will it be a complete clean-slate? Only time will tell and if you are one of the many who have not yet checked out this franchise, then the original was released in 2009 and its called The Collector…..its rather good…..
