After years of rumours and casting that never occurred, a live action MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE film is finally on its way with Nicholas Galitzine already cast as He-Man and Camila Mendes as Teela and its now been confirmed that Alison Brie will play Evil-Lynn, the iconic villain who was originally played by Meg Foster in 80’s film version that has become something of a cult favourite.

Travis Knight is directing and the film is down for a June 5, 2026 release.

A few weeks back, the guys over at DEADLINE reported that the film has this synopsis.

The movie follows ten-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor.

But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe.”
