The original is a classic, the sequel an underrated gem, but then it all went a bit downhill with a third film, a TV Show and of course the obligatory remake from a few years ago, but the half man, half machine law enforcement ROBOCOP has never been out of the domain, what with the recent much praised Video- Game and now he is back once more- in an all new TV show.

Deadline have reported that Amazon MGM Studio alongside horror master James Wan are returning to Detroit City for the small screen alongside showrunner Peter Ocko in a new take on the much loved premise.

The synopsis so far, which is as expected is:

 “A giant tech conglomerate collaborates with the local police department to introduce a technologically advanced enforcer to combat rising crime — a police officer who’s part man, part machine.”

Its way too early to even have casting news on who steps into Peter Weller’s shoes.
