Barbarian was a thrill ride of excitement, horror and silliness, which won the hearts of many horror fans, so its with great news that its director Zach Cregger has signed up to write and direct a new Resident Evil film, with the people behind it, looking for the plot go back to its gaming roots – something which was said before, with the release of the last film.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City replaced the action of the Milla Jovovich six-film era with a more horror footing, which didn’t quite get the box-office results, that many hoped for and now we are set for yet another re-boot with the hope that Cregger can bring the same essence of quality he brought to the wild ride of Barbarian.
