Hmm….there are some horror films that can not be remade, but as I include Halloween in that list and not only as Michael Myers had a Rob Zombie rebrand, he also has been given a legacy sequel and lets not talk about the PSYCHO remake and countless others.
Considered a much cherished classic by many horror fans, Stuart Gordon’s 1985’s REANIMATOR is a film that needs to be seen if you haven’t, more so now as its been reported by the guys over at DEADLINE that a “contemporary reimagining” is set to be offered, from the team that gave us The Haunting in Connecticut– screenwriters Adam Simon and Tim Metcalfe.
Its quite hard to get my head around this, as the original and its sequels are absolutely brilliant, but we are given a curious glance at this idea, especially as the source material is based on author H.P. Lovecraft’s 1922 serial novelette Herbert West–Reanimator.
Lets just say, we see where this goes…..
