Some surprising news here as the long awaited sequel to the 2016 smash horror hit Don’t Breath has finished filming.
We were told way back in April that production was all set to start on the follow up, but then like many films since, the current pandemic had stopped the camera’s rolling, but somehow the film has been quietly filmed over the last few months and its lead actor Stephen Lang who plays the vicious “The Blind Man” announced on Twitter that he has finished on the project.
So what can we expect from this sequel which is again written by Evil Dead’s Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues with the only change being is that Sayagues is now behind the camera?
The brief synopsis we have been given is this:
[Don’t] Breathe 2 is set several years after the home invasion of the first movie, with the Blind Man living in quiet solace…until his past sins catch up to him
But oddly the brilliant guys over on leading horror website Bloody Disgusting have reported that the plot will see The Blind Man having raised a young girl, who was orphaned from a house fire. His “solace” will apparently be shaken when the girl is kidnapped and he must leave his home in order to save her.
Which sounds like he is going to be the hero?
A horror version of Taken? We look forward to seeing how this turns out!
