You cannot escape a bad ghost!

As Insidous 4 served up a prequel to the Lin Shaye character, the now announced fifth film in the popular horror franchise is going back to its roots as The Lambert Family are set to return.

Furthermore Patrick Wilson who plays the Dad who went into The Further to save his son Walton (Ty Simpkins) is to direct the film that will now see his teenage son once more get targeted by ghouls and ghosts.

As of yet Rose Bryne has not been announced she that she is returning and so far it’s looking unlikely but we will let you know if this hopefully changes.

Wilson said this in a statement about his return to Insidious.

“I’m honored and thrilled to be at the helm of the next Insidious installment, which will provide an amazing chance to unpack everything the Lamberts went through a decade ago, as well as deal with the consequences of their choices,‘ he said.

“Directing the movie is both professionally and personally a full circle moment for me, and I am extremely grateful to be entrusted in continuing to tell this frightening and haunting story. Into the further we go…‘
