One of the greatest horror films from the 1980’s and apart from Blade Runner, one of Rutger Hauer’s most memorable roles, THE HITCHER is finally get a much wanted, brand new Blu-Ray release from Second Sight.

Written by Eric Red and directed by Robert Harmon, the classic movie also starred C Thomas Howell who mistakenly picks up a hitchhiker one night from the pouring rain and ends up in a terrifying cat and mouse game with a deranged psycho.

In a Tweet, Second Sight confirmed that a new Blu-Ray is on its way, even though we haven’t got a release date, but this news will no doubt, delight fans who have longed to add it to their collection.

The film spawned a weird sequel in 2003 and of course the typical noughties remake in 2007 that starred Sean Bean.
