The Stephen King remake trend continues as it\’s been announced that Zac Efron has been cast in the upcoming remake of Firestarter from Universal Pictures and Blumhouse.
No news yet of what role he will take.
The remake will be directed by The Virgil\’s Keith Thomas.
The original starred Drew Barrymore as a young girl who discovers she has pyrokinetic powers, or the ability to start fires, as well as the ability to see into the future.
While it wasn\’t a huge box office smash and was not well received critically, it has become a cult fav among horror fans.
