There are many fans of the Resident Film franchise that gained so many entries and made a star out of Milla Jovovich that when the story ended for good in 2017, there were gasps of despair when it was announced soon after that the series was getting a full reboot.

For a few though, the news was welcome as perhaps we would now have a full blown Zombie scale bloodbath that we hoped for, way back when the original film was released in 2002.

The responsibility to deliver the goods now lands on 47 Metres Down director Johannes Roberts who along with stars Kaya Scodelario (Crawl) as Claire Redfield and Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp) as Jill Valentine, brings RESIDENT EVIL: Welcome to Raccoon City to cinema’s on November 24th.

Finally we get the movie synopsis to get us excited.

Once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, the townspeople are forever…changed…and a small group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.

Lets hope this is a more scarier and faithful adaption to the iconic Video Game classic!
